Hello, I'm using device designed from this reference 700W design: https://www.ti.com/tool/PMP21366 with UCC28064A using.

Can anyone help me, how to update design to increase power to 1200W? Is it possible with UCC28064A controller?

Hello Andrej,

At 1200W, we typically recommend a CCM PFC controller like the UCC28180. However, the UCC28064A is still usable. Please see the UCC28064A design calculator for a step-by-step guide on design and component selection.

Can you help me, what it means in High limit and Low limit for single phase operation with calculation tool and Low limit for burst operation and high kimit brst operation? Which number do you recomend for 1200W PFC ? My calculation is included.ucc28064_1200w.xlsx

Hello Andrej,

Please see the below sections in the UCC28064A datasheet. What are your power supply specs? That will affect your thresholds. What do you mean by high kimit brst operation?

Hello, I create PFC for 1200w, Ind I'm testing it. Here is included xcel file with calculations. ucc28064_1200w_test.xlsx

It works well, but I have problem, when it starts with capacity load (2000uF, and 100ohm), voltage drops to 300V, which causes stop of DC/DC based on UCC256404. When load is 400W, I can increase load to 1000W without problem, but load from 100W to 1000W drops output under 300V, which causes stop of DCDC UCC256404 convertor. How can I minimalise this 400V voltage dropping? PFC output capacity is 720 uF.

Hello Andrej,

Do you have a waveform of the voltage drop to 300V with the switching waveforms? Is the 300V drop just a short drop or is it a continuous, steady drop in output voltage? Do you also have a schematic of your design?
