TPS6594-Q1: TPS6594-1111 is crashed

Part Number: TPS6594-Q1

Tool/software:

Hello, Ti's expert
Our team of hardware engineers is designing a board based on the J721E SOC according to the PROC078A (001) _SCH reference design, using TPS6594-1111 and TPS6594-1213 to power the entire SOC. We encountered a system crash issue with TPS6594-1111 and have conducted the following troubleshooting:
1. Set the BUCK current threshold of PMIC to the highest value
2. Turn off the watchdog of PMIC

This is a schematic designed by some hardware engineers

Can you tell me which aspects can be used to troubleshoot the problem

  • My first recommendation is to connect to the I2C lines with any type of I2C debugging tool and read out the interrupt registers of BOTH devices. The interrupt registers are 0x5A to 0x6C.

Secondly, do all the rails shut down or just some of the rails on TPS65941111?
