TPSM33625: Measurement results using TPS33625EVM

Part Number: TPSM33625
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ALLIGATOR

Tool/software:

Hi team,

A DC power supply was connected to the input and an electronic load to the output, setting Iout to 1.5A.

Other conditions were matched to Figure 7-4 of the datasheet, and waveforms were obtained using TPSM33625EVM.

The obtained waveforms are shown below. Ch1 = EN, Ch2 = PGOOD, and Ch3 = VOUT, with noise present on EN and PGOOD.

The oscilloscope probe is using an alligator clip for the GND lead, which may have some impact. However, is this level of noise something that requires countermeasures?

The following shows the waveforms with slightly modified range and time axis under the same conditions.

Is it correct to assume that these waveforms are acceptable for the EVM?

Best regards,

Kyohei

  • Hi,
Below are the suggestions that can give you more clear waveforms:

    1. You can use tip and barrel method to measure the voltages.
    2. Please use a 1X probe since 10x probe has high BW and can pickup unwanted signals.

    Thanks,

    Pramanik Patel
