BQ27Z561EVM-011: Configuration for BQ27Z561 GG

Part Number: BQ27Z561EVM-011
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ27Z561, BQSTUDIO, GPCCHEM

Tool/software:

Hi all,

I am at the dead end and I don't know where to turn or what can I do next.

Everything is starting with my system is using 10AH, 3.7V battery, and this battery is out of ordinary.  I get recommend to use BQ27Z561 GG to support the battery this size.

I collected the data, and submitted to TI and get back the report that recommend to use chemID = 0x3142.

My GG is by default has this chemID so I don't do anything but adjust the Design's settings.

I am using bqStudio for my data collection and it took 96 hours to charge up to 85% and in normal discharge, it shows 3736mV with 62%

1. I don't know which parameters dictate this percentages, but it seems wrong because in my settings, I set 100% at 4100mV and Term Voltage at 3400mV; hence my percentage should reflect differently.

2. is there any additional service from TI for us to get the correct chemID for particular battery?

3. Even the chemID is not exactly fit, can my BQ27Z561 still relatedly reliable report the SOC?
