Hello team,

I'm using BQ34210 EVM for fuel gauge with EV2400 module.

After generating the chem ID report from the respective TI chem id tool, I need to update the chem ID in the chemical field, but there is no such section in the latest version of BQ studio.
Could you please provide me with alternative methods to update chem ID.

    Hello, 

    The reason there is no chemistry tab for the BQ34210 is because this is a CEDV based fuel gauge and does not use chemIDs in the algorithm.

    Hi,

    Today's observation - I have tried to do learning cycle of battery in which charging of the battery has been finished then it went to relax mode later when i'm trying to do discharge of the battery for that i have enabled EOS_START_LEARN then LFAULT and LDPAI flag has been arisen.

    Hi Team,

    Thanks for your reference.

    For discharging battery, we have given 30mA of current still it is going to LFAULT only.

    Can you tell me how much current should i give for discharging of battery and how long will it take for complete discharge?

    And after discharging how long will it be in relaxation mode?

    Hi,

    Sorry for this, the E2E thread which you mentioned didn't resolve my issue.

    LFAULT and LDPAI flag is keep on coming if I'm trying to charge and discharge of the battery as well. 

    if possible, can you arrange respective person to connect through call asap to resolve this issue.

    Please ensure you have an accurate temperature reading. Typically these flags are set when the temperature is too high or too low. Additionally please ensure you have completed the temp calibration.

    I have successfully completed the temperature calibration, then I have tried learning cycle- (charging the battery) still I'm getting the same error.

    Hi Jonny,

    FCC is not yet estimated even after completion on charging the battery.

    so, can you tell me when it will be estimating the FCC value what is the procedure to be followed to find FCC value.

    whether we have to complete charging as well as discharging cycle also to estimate the FCC value?

    please check the previously sent logs which has been observed during charging and discharging the battery .

    and let me know how to resolve the LFAULT flag.

    This log file still does not show the entire learning cycle. This only shows 7 data points which is not the entire charge and discharge. Please attach the full log file.
