We are currently interfacing an OTS-based smart battery using the BQ34110 fuel gauge with the NXP i.MX8MP processor. However, the device is not being recognized as an I2C node.
To shift voltage levels from 1.8V (processor side) to 3.3V (fuel gauge side), we are using the TCA9416 level translator, with the fuel gauge connected on the 3.3V side.
Despite this setup, the fuel gauge is not detected on the I2C bus.
For your reference, I’ve attached the relevant schematics and the I2C commands/logs used to probe the node. Your insights on this issue would be greatly appreciated.
The expected address as 0x55 is not recognized, whereas other devices are getting recognized.
