Hello Team,

I am looking for and DCDC controller for following application:

Input voltage: From Battery ~7V
Output voltage: Configurable to 250V and 420V
Output Current: Max 800mA @ 500usec PRF (Load: Capacitor with 500Ohm)

I was suggested Push-Pull controller from Texas on e2e forum ( LM5185-Q1: DCDC for 7V (input) to 32V (Output) )

UCC2808A-2Q1 data sheet, product information and support | TI.com

I am looking forward for UCC2808A or LM25037-Q1 as both have similar input range but LM25037 has additional features.

1. Could you please share some TI guide for component selection like MOSFET/ Transformer for Non-Isolated design?

2. Parts UCC2808A and LM25037-Q1 are not listed on TI webench and PowerDesigner web tool for above application.

Hi,

UCC2808A-2 is ok to use unless you want to some features from LM25037.

The design needs to have transformer in order to get voltage from 7V to over 425V. For adjustable 250V to 425V, if you intend to use one design, then this would be achieved by duty cycle control and output filter.

Non-isolated design with transformer is just connect the secondary side ground to the primary side. No other difference.

As it is a push-pull, you just follow a design process for push-pull - then it is ok.

You can design transformer, MOSFETs, etc, then follow the datasheet to do the IC external components design.
