Hi Team,

Do we have 1200V isolation HB driver? Also need meet <1.1mA Idd requirement. Like NSD1624. Could you please help double check here, I cannot find such device on ti.com.

Hello Francis,

For the 1200V capability you would need, at this time one of the isolated drivers. I have included one of our isolated drive experts on the thread. Can you comment on why the customer needs the low IDD current?

HI Francis,

In our isolated portfolio we do not have a HB driver with <1.1mA requirement and with isolation involved customer would also need an isolated bias supply which may increase the complexity.

Is an isolated gate driver something they would be interested in?
What is the application?

Hi Andy, Richard,

The application is 2-switches Flyback, so HB driver is the most simple solution, for isolated gate driver, they need 2pcs. The 1.1mA Icc is due to it needs to sink current from Flyback controller's VDD, so it is considered to <3mA, and competitor(NSD1624) is 1.1mA.

Hi Francis,

We also have HB isolated gate drives in the TI portfolio. You can refer to UCC21551 or UCC21331 as reference although current consumption seems will be a challenge.

Customer rejected it, as UCC21551 need 2 power supplies.

Hi Francis,

With the UCC21551 and UCC21331, the customer can connect the device using a bootstrap configuration, so that they can power the secondary side using only one supply. Page 27 of the UCC21551 datasheet [Link] shows a Typical Application Schematic that includes a bootstrap configuration. I meant the primary side VCC and secondary side VDD. Thanks. NSD1624(our similar function UCC27714) only need one.
