I'm reviewing parts to use a standalone e-fuse without hot swap controller in a 12V input, 35A max continuous DC current application. I reviewed the datasheets, but I want to get an expert opinion on anything I'm missing. I used the TI design calculator for the TPS25985 part and it seems like it'll work. I plan to use the e-fuse as a inrush current limiter primarily. For power dissipation inside the IC, I don't see many ground pins. Heat dissipation at 1mohm resistance is about 1.225W dissipated. It will only increase the temperature of the IC by 7C on the board. We'll have airflow to cool the part on the board.

I don't need the I2C functionality, but I wanted to add it to the list of possible parts I'm reviewing. I'm currently looking at the TPS25984B, TPS25990, and TPS25985 as options. Any opinions would be appreciated.
