TPS65223-Q1: TPS6522312-Q1 could not work under -40°C

Hi Expert,

During high and low temperature tests, it cannot start at -40 degrees, but it can start when the temperature is adjusted to -30 degrees.

Please help confirm what's the problem.

Hi Andy,

I would like to move this thread to the internal forums so we can discuss in more detail. Do you have some contact at TI who you can work with to get access to internal forums? This issue can be external component related. Have you tested with multiple boards/units?

Hi Niko,

Customer only test one board and will test another one. Please find the register parameters.

The power supply and enable pins of the peripheral circuit are normal at -40 degree. Register-normal status.csv Register at -40degree.csv

Hi Andy,

schematic looks ok. I took another look at the registers and it seems like you have VCCA_UVOV_INT in the failing case. Please monitor the VCCA when you change the temperature to see how it changes with the temperature. Is the pre-regulator also on the same board and are you cooling the entire board thus including the pre-regulator?
