TPS65219: GPIO pull-up resistor

Part Number: TPS65219
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS62872-Q1

Tool/software:

Hi support team,

As shown in Figure 2-1 of SLVUD09, I am connecting the GPIO of the TPS6521910 to the EN of the TPS62872-Q1.

TPS62872-Q1 support told me that the TPS62872-Q1 requires a pull-up resistor of 15kΩ or more.

The TPS65219x checklist states that the typical value is 1kΩ to 10kΩ.

The datasheet seems to recommend 10kΩ.

Is it okay to pull up with 15kΩ as shown in the diagram below?

  • Hi Dice-K,

Yes, the 15kOhm pullup resistor will be fine here.

10kOhm is just suggested as a typical value for balance of power consumption and noise,
The discrepancy between 10kOhms and 15 kOhms will be minimal.

    Best Regards,
    Sarah
