LM5137-Q1: Configuration pin resistor tolerance

Part Number: LM5137-Q1

Tool/software:

Dear Team,

I am working on a 4 Phase power convertor design with LM5137-Q1.

The configuration pin resistor value is suggested as 71.5K for primary and 90.0K for secondary. Our approved component list doesn't hasve these resistor values.

1. Can is use 49.0K + 21.5K = 71.4K in primary controller config pin?

2. Can is use 75K + 15K = 90K in secondary controller config pin?

  • Hi Selvaraj,

Yes, you can use parallel combinations like 49.0K + 21.5K to get 71.4KΩ for the primary config pin and 75K + 15K to get 90KΩ for the secondary config pin on the LM5137-Q1, as long as the total resistance value matches the datasheet recommendation within ±1% tolerance. Ensure both resistors are precision types, and your PCB layout is clean to avoid noise and parasitic effects.
Note: If exact resistor values are unavailable, combining high-accuracy resistors in parallel is a standard practice, and it will not affect configuration function as long as the total is accurate and well within the allowed tolerance.

    Thanks and Regards,
