Hi,
i am using DCP021212P part in isolated power supply application, its preset output voltage 12V but when i power up with 12VDC its output voltage is 24Volts i am not able to find the Reason for this.
Datta
DCP021212 is a semi-regulated power converter. Its output voltage is affected by both input voltage range and output load current.
One method to reduce output ripple is to increase the Vout ceramic capacitance to 2.2uf from 0.1uf.
The output voltage at 75% load ( 1.5W /125mA) will between 11.4V to 12.6V with typical 12V. The input voltage must be 12V+/-1% for Vout range of 11.4 to12.6V for 75% load.
The output voltage is dependent upon Vout load and input voltage. When there is no load or less than 3%, the output voltage can be about 20-25V. One suggestion to load the Vout bus with a 10% load. The 10% load will reduce the output voltage to about 13V to 15V. Any increase in load will decrease average output voltage.

Hi Tom,
Thanks for the information but output is not a continues load, Load will be connected through a dry switch, can i add one Preload resistor to maintain 10% Load.

Datta
Hi Datta:
I recommend a 10%-13% load ( 650Ω resistor ) on the output bus which should keep the output voltage to about ≤13.5V with 12Vin +/-1%.
To reduces ripple and improve Vout bus AC component, change the 0.1uf capacitor to 4.7uf or greater. The ripple reduction can be 50% or more.
