Output regulator of LM2576 or analog, with pin 5 ON/OFF or PIN 4 feed ?? for fast output regulation

Hy, i must use an LM2576HVT-ADJ (Flow LB03), for regulate an output light, I want use the pin 5 (ON\ OFF) for regulate the current in output.

Like this i must switch very fast this PIN with a comparator and a shunt, i have a fixed 24 Volt in output but when the current reach a value i cut-off the pin 5, here the pin 5 is in continuos fast switch on/off... IS POSSIBLE USE THIS APPLICATION, OR THE LM2576 DAMAGE OR NOT REGULATE THE OUTPUT COSTANT?? THANK YOU VERY MUCH ]

Hi Michele,

Yes you could make this work but if you can list the amount of current you need in your system and the dimming ratio that you want to use, we can probably suggest a better option.

I think too, that may be better use the fedd Pin (PIN 4 FB) or other solution, I attack the my solution, the line and load regulation is:

Voltage range in Output may be from 18 Vcc to 24 Vcc (or smaller) and the current may be around 350mA to 500mA

If you can suggest other is only better
