Hello, all

Now we are evaluating TPS84259 for our new design, then would like to know regarding RRT value settings on this device.

We understand that this device could adjust the switching frequency in accordance with the value of RRT. However, we could not find actual equation on excel calculator.

(We are not willing to use external oscillator to set switching frequency, but to use RRT resister.)

Also, please refer to enclosed excel file, which contains actual input/output condition on this device.

    It is recommended to operate the TPS84259 at a switching frequency of 800kHz. An Rrt value of 0Ω sets the switching frequency to 800kHz. Only in applications with both an input voltage greater then 18V and an output voltage between -3V and -8V is it recommended to reduce the switching frequency to 500kHz.

    This information can be found on page 18 of the datasheet.
