Niro,
The Mathcad program could not find a ChemID match for your data. There could be a few issues with the data that could affect the results. The pack may need to rest longer after the discharge and the temperature does not change during the discharge. Was the temperature sensor attached to the cell?
Tom
Hi Tom,
We couldn't monitor the cell thermister using the method we used. We used a separate thermometer accurate only to about 0.5 degrees – it was a warm day on Sunday and the temp was steady indoors.
We suspect the real problem was the rest period... we ran for the 5 hours TI indicated in the procedure but the curve has clearly not reached its maximum. We'll run another discharge cycle and send the results again.
Kind regards,
Niro.
Hi Tom,
Please find attached a spreadsheet with discharge cycle data.
Kind regards,
Niro.
Niro,
ChemID's 196 and 1103 are the closest matches to your data. The error should be lower than 3%, so you can see that these are just over the limit. You can try them to see if the gauging performance is acceptable. You can have cell characterized if it is not.
