I work at TI -> HVAL -> HVL -> IPD. We make TVSs to protect against ESD, surge, over-voltage etc. We currently have a device for USB VBUS which we can set to disable the nFET and protect VBUS at any voltage between 5.5 V and 15V. It also provides power from the connector side to the system side in case of a dead battery.
I have a concern with bq24192 OVP trip point of 18V and setting our devices OVP trip point lower. We have had a customer issue where the PMIC tripped higher than our device and the system would indicate it is charging when our device turned off due to OVP but the PMIC remained on.
Can someone in this group please contact me regarding this application, as we have some customer interest related to our TVS and this USB Charger.
