bq25892 / Set BATFET_DIS bit during /QON low

Hi Everyone,

Please let me ask about full system reset and BATFET_DIS bit.

Is BATFET turned off by set BATFET_DIS bit during /QON low to enable full system reset like Fig.2 in attached? Or is BATFET_DIS bit ignored and enabled full system reset after tQON_RST? This can be confirmed by using EVM easily but I'm sorry but I have not gotten EVM yet...

Satoshi-san,

Fig 1 shows the correct operation of BATFET. Section 9.2.10.2 and 9.2.10.3 in the datasheet explains this behavior.

Hi Bhuyan,

Do you mean that the BATFET_DIS bit is ignored after bq25892 detect edge of /QON High to Low?

I can check it by using EVM but I have not gotten it yet so...

Satoshi-san,

If you have access to the full datasheet for this device, please read sections 9.2.10.2 and 9.2.10.3 for the explanation of the BATFET_DIS behavior during a /QON reset.

If you do not have full access to the datasheet, please request it by filling out the required form in the bq25892 product page under the "Special note" section.

Yes, I have full datasheet. bq25892EVM will come to my hand next week so I'll check the operation by myself.
