Hello TI,
I plan on using TPS55330 for battery operated device, boosting Vin (3 to 5V) to 6V with Imax of around 2.0A. During non-operational mode I want to eliminate voltage path from VIN to VOUT through the inductor and catch diode. I’m very reluctant to introduce another source of a power loss in the form of a disconnect switch at the input, so the question is: can Schottky Diode be replaced with the FET, so the transistor and the power supply are controlled by the same enable signal (3-5V). If yes, could you suggest component options?
Thank you in advance,
Vlad
