UCC28600 simulation and design sheet SLVC104I

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC28600, UCC28630, UCC28880

Hi,

I am currently design Flyback convertor using UCC28600. I find out there is design sheet SLVC104I in tool and software website. The most equation in this excel file is not viewable. Could you share the equation in this? Also, I can not find simulation tool in Pspice or Tina. Could you provide it to me?

Thanks,

Best rgds,

Bon

  • Hi Bon,

The Excel file is locked and is normally only unlocked under once an NDA has been signed.

I will check on the availability of the SPICE model for this controller.

    Regards

    Peter
  • Hi Peter,

Thanks, is there any way to unlocked? Could you provide the password?
Also, let me know when you can find out Pspice file for UCC28600 or UCC28630?

    Thanks
    Bon
  • The pspice model for the UCC28600 is in process. I didn't see the UCC28630 on the list yet.

Do you have specific questions about the UCC28600 SLVC104I file? I will see if I can change the protection to make the equations viewable.
  • I have updated the file so the equations are viewable but there are macros running in the background that refuse to be seen.  I'm not sure if this will help but feel free to come back with questions...

  • Hi Lisa,

    Thank you for your message,
This is good new about Pspice processing.

I am in design mode of UCC28600. When I reviewed the design spread sheet, we do not know how those recommend value come from even some values which are very questionable. It is hard for us to use this file without understanding it. I have some questions about how and what equation to get:

    1. Required input capacitor?
    2. Vxfmr?
    3. Min Npri/Nsec?
    4. Min Npri/Nbias?
    5. All information in Xfmr ?
    5. Rovp1?
    6. Rovp2?
    7. Rcs? Even there is some concern about power watts value.
    8. Rpl?
    9. Cout?
    10. Power limitation?

BTW, I was TIer in HPA and POWER group for 9 years. I really want to use those TI part from Manchester/Forest Lane site confidently . If you could, you can contact me by 469-235-3091 so we can have more discuss about those questions

    Best rgds,
    Bon
  • How about Monday? Friday afternoon is filling up fast...

In the mean time, can you send me some info about your application...like:

    minimum and max input voltage,

    output voltage and load,

did you select the FET?  which one is it?

What feature of the part made you pick the UCC28600? (just want to make sure it is the right one for you)

I can fill out what would be the "ideal" design and we can set up a time to discuss on Monday if that works for you

Also, did you check on the markings on the top of the part (I want the date code...we have just released a more robust revision of this chip and you might as well work with the latest and greatest... )

  • Hi Lisa,

Monday is all booked. How about Tuesday?

    Thanks,
    Best rgds,
    Bon
  • I got your (offline) message and completely understand about being busy. Whenever you have the time we can talk.
  • Hello, Lisa

Greetings, Sorry for this late replay.I believe we can wrap up what we had left about UCC28600. Could you call me at 469-235-3091 to discuss design sheet? Also, I am thinking another part for UCC28880. I tried to run OrCad, and I had some question. Are you the right person to discuss about that part? I think this part belong to your power management at Manchester

  • Hello Bon, I will call later this afternoon.  Talk to you soon!
