Hi Team,

I understand that the minimum value of RILIM is 16.9kohm.

However, they would like to make “RILIM” small.

Because, our customer don’t want to use the current limit function.

So, can I lower it than this value?

Hi Kanemaru-san,

Even though current limit function is not used, it is not recommend to reduce current limit resistor to increase current limit.

Any reason for doing this?

Thank you for your prompt reply.

They would like to use the parallel operation of TPS25942A.

Then, the current limit is worked if the current becomes unbalanced.

So, they would like to avoid this situation.

could you please let us know the reason(bad effect) that cannot reduce “RILIM”?

Hi Kanemaru-san,

At higher current limits, circuit functionality is not guaranteed and may cause accuracy errors.

16.9k RLIM resistor supports 5.2A (typ) should be okay for delivering 10A by connecting two devices in parallel.
