LM5072 - how design the control loop

Dear team,

a customer of mine wants to use the LM5072 reference design as a solution for his project, as in document attached, page 2.

He would like to know if there is a tool available to design the control loop. If not, are there some specif recommendations?

Hi Massimiliano,

Note that the LM5072 is an older part and does not do Type 2 hardware classification.

If looking for 12V 25W solution, I recommend using our TPS devices like the TPS23751 and the PMP11254. This is a simple flyback solution.

Note we currently do not have a design tool for control loop design. However, I recommend looking at SLVA305C app note that goes into detail on how to design a simple flyback including the loop compensation.
