Command line usage of TI Fusion Digital Power Designer GUI to extract the device name

Hello,

I am trying to get the device name of the power module(eg: TPS40400) attached using TI USB adapter.

I tried FusionPMBusScan & the command line print no devices found. But when I enter FusionPMBusScan --pmbus-rev, then I get a list stating device found @ address 25d: ReadByte PMBUS_REVISION [0x98] returned 0x11.

I would like to get the device name i.e., TPS40400 through command line. How can I achieve this ?

Looking at the available PMBus commands, I do not see anything that returns the device part number.

When I use scan mode, I get a message stating " No device found matching your device criteria, verify no other SAA_based tools are running, exiting due to error".

What measures should I take to avoid this error message.

Also when I use "FusionPMBusScan --pmbus-rev", I get a response stating "device found @ address 25d: ReadByte PMBUS_REVISION [0x98] returned 0x11"

Except for the above command, for the remaining commands in scan mode I get the error stated in the start of this reply.

scan-mode defaults to DEVICE_ID command which is used by the UCD9xxx products for identification, but the TPS40400 uses DEVICE_CODE command.

You need to specify the --scan-mode option where scan-mode is device_code (TPS 40400 use DEVICE_CODE). The default scan-mode is DEVICE_ID. So, your command should look like the below:

>FusionConfigWriter --address 27 --scan-mode device_code
