Hi Sir
Right now we have a problem to use BQ24168. The B1 and B2 bit of Register 01 does not contain 0x10 when we pull out the battery.
May you pls advise us suggestion?

but but still get 0x0 on both B1 and B2 for Reg 01.
May you have other suggestion?

Hi Jeff
it seems Vts impact(customer measure is 3V). may we have excel or other tool to calculate RHI/RLO?
if no use this pin, may we direct connect 10K to GND?
2500.bq2416x_DesignHelp_V1.xlsxHi Chen,
If TS is not used, please place a resistor divider of 10kohm/10kohm between REGN, TS and GND to set TS at 1/2 V(REGN). I have attached a spreadsheet that can help size the divider it you decide to use the TS function.
Hi Jeff
we have another issue thay we set 0x03 = 0x92 in power on, but after around 300m Second, the 0x03=0x16 automatically.
May you pls advise us some suggestion?

Bogey,
Are you resetting the watchdog timer? Are there any faults that occur during this time? Certain faults cause the battery regulation voltage to reset to default = 3.60V.
Hi Jeff
Customer only write value 0x8C to memory 0x02 to reset the chip when power-on.

Default BATREG = 3.6V. If the battery attached is higher than 3.6V, the IC will report BATOVP. For the registers to maintain settings other than default, the host must write to the watchdog timer every 30s or so.
Hi Jeff
It is very strange that the register is happen when Battery hot SWAP.
May you have idea?

Bogey,
Unfortunately no. Power must be applied at either BAT or IN or USB in order for the I2C registers to retain their values.
