LM3410: about operation when EN=high

Hi,

Could you tell me about LM3410 behavior when EN=High?
Please confirm the attached file.

After the EN pin ON, momentarily SW terminal will be OFF.
Is this in the specifications?
Could you give me your advice?

Hello Yusuke-san,

It's hard to say without more information but it is likely normal. It depends on your operating points and component values but boost switchers can overshoot a little at startup. If it does then FB would exceed 190mV and it will stop switching until it falls back to its 190mV regulation point.

Hello Yusuke-san,

Send me a friend request and I can provide you an e-mail in a private message. We can cover both LM3410 questions that way. The circuit would be good to see but it would also be helpful to see the layout and the BOM if possible. The spiking seen in the other thread is still normal and not a concern. It's likely that simply due to parasitics it will be impossible to get rid of completely.
