Hi Team,

When a message is sent from host to gauge IC, we did not see the gauge IC responds with a "acknowledge" message. How can we ensure the data read from the host is correct if there is a HDQ bus issue, gauge IC not present, or other external factor? The below graph is extracted from BQ27541 datasheet.

Hi Andy,

HDQ comm protocol doesn't have an ACK like Smbus or I2C. That is a limitation of the protocol. pls see attached app notes to offer guidiance on using the hdq protocol.

Hi Andy,
Unfortunately, We do not have sample code for hdq. However, see app note for i2c although i don't know if this will help you much.
