The datasheet of LMZ37104 suggests using an external open drain/ collector device, if the application requires On/Off function (page 19 of SLVSBV8A). I have a controller (UCD90160), that can generate the required control signal.
My query is whether I can avoid using an external open drain device and instead drive directly from the controller, and have an external pull-down (around 10kohm). If possible can the details of internal pull-up current source on INH pin be shared
Note that, my design has controller being powered up before any input voltage is supplied to LMZ31704.
Yes, the UCD90160 can be used to interface with the INH pin as you described.
The device has a fixed 1.15uA current source and a second 3.3uA hysteretic current source. See attached.
