TPS61169: Loss of power supply in separating VIN from power stage

Hi,

We got a question from customer about TPS61169.
Could you help us?

Our customer is considering using TPS61169 for dual cell Li-ion battery application. We refer to other post, we are thinking the IC meet this application.

In abnormal situation, loss of power supply to SW will occur under the below condition. Is there any possibility the IC will be damaged in this condition?

    Hi Tateo,
    Just from the dircuit configure, there is no probles to damage the IC. What is the loss of power mean, the device shut down or the device is working but no output current? Is the failure happens at startup or after startup? When the loss of power happens, have you measured the voltage of Vout, there should be Vin voltage due to leakage current of LED and Rfb resistor.

    Hi, Thank you for your reply. If fuse of power line expires while the IC is under operation, loss of power is occurred. They are concerned that the voltage exists on only VIN and CTRL.
