BQ40Z60EVM-578: PcbDoc, PrjPCB, SchDoc converted to Cadence/Orcad formats (brd, opj, dsn)?

Hi,

Can i assume the bq40z60EVM-578 was done using Altium?

and the tidre95.zip are Altium files?

Is there a way to convert to Cadence/Orcad formats for easy CAD entry?

Hi Tom,

The design files ( www.ti.com/.../tidre95 ) were created using Altium and are found in the design files section at: www.ti.com/.../TIDA-00553

To easily convert from Altium to Orcad, please follow the instructions at this link: www.orcad.com/.../OrCAD_Altium_Migration_Guide.pdf

The above guide is a two Step process. If you have any issues with the conversion, please let me know.

hi Bryan,

thanks for the info....

looks like we will have to upgrade to Orcad 17.7 to get the Altium Translator features (our current Orcad 16.6 does not have that specific import button).

Hopefully your Altium files have been saved as PCB ASCII File (*.PcbDoc) files (??) otherwise, i will have to come back and ask for the converted files.

oops typo,
looks like we will have to upgrade to Orcad 17.2 (not 17.7)

hi Bryan,

Can you please export the bq40z60EVM-578 Altium files to ASCII format?
using the guide you originaly quoted,
www.orcad.com/.../OrCAD_Altium_Migration_Guide.pdf

fyi, Cadence/Orcad tech support reponded saying the files are binary (Altium native).
