As I have noticed I need another EV2300 in order to update the 1st one. I cannot afford another $100 just for this end. What is the actual add value from updating the firmware?
Is it possible to send my EV2300 to an TI employee in europe and receive it updated? I would appreciate further help.

Also please let me know either EV2400 is free of those bugs? What is the exact difference between EV2300 and EV2400 from users point of view (since the latter is $100 costier?).
I would really appreciate your assistance. I am from Poland and we clearly have the time shift. I can only receive updates from you once per 24h because of that and I really need to move forward with this design.

Also, can you please let me know either the way I configured the LED register is correct? How can I check this? Should the LEDS works as intended for 5 led config now? This is critical to check for me as I dont know either I need to redesign the board and I need to order some of them very soon. Here is the schematics:

Hi Lukasz,

The EV2300 will need to be updated to the latest version. The EV2400 is a newer device and recommended for use. They both appear to be the same cost in the TI store. From the user's point of view the EV2400 does not require additional drivers to work on most operating systems.

With respect to the LED configuration, 5 LEDS require the use of an external shift register, such as the one in the EVM and in your schematic above.

The settings of EXT LED bits in the LED Comm register looks good, but please verify all settings with the EVM to ensure your blink rate and other configuration parameters are as intended.

What could be the case?

Did you already try to install the "support components" linked in step 3 from here?
e2e.ti.com/.../458983
It's possible that they are needed to allow the older SW (EV2300 updater) to work with the newer HW and HID driver.
Now that you have an EV2400, does that resolve your original problem?

Thank you for answer, yes the original problem was resolved by using EV2400 but i still have problems that emerged fom it. I will try to install those components and let you know either it works. Meanwhile could you please take a look at this topic: e2e.ti.com/.../669739 ?

I have tried to apply your tips. After installing the "components" the program did run. I could not program the EV2300 using EV2400. Following the instructions after clicking program I got:

This is how I connected the boards:

The J7 jumper was attached. I have noticed that after connecting USB to the EV2300 with jumper attached, there is no enumeration on the PC nor leds on the board. I dont know either this is the right behavior. Looking forward to your support.
