Hi,

Could you please tell me the recommended schematic if using a couple of TPS25942As as the constant current source(the current limit : ~10A) when the large current such as 10A flows to the load ?
Please provide me the material as the following post.

Hi Kato,

Can you please share the system requirements. We have 12A device TPS24751 - please check whether it suits your application.

On the other hand, two TPS25942A devices can be paralleled for higher current support. Considering current limit inaccuracies, the two-device parallel configuration should be able to support 9.5A safely. The schematic for the same is below.

Hi Rakesh-san,

Thank you for your quick response.

Unfortunately, it is necessary to keep the load current at 10A like the constant current source, so TPS24751 cannot be used with the fault timer function.
TPS24751 can be used if the fault timer function can disable.
Therefore, I will suggest to use a couple of TPS25942As to our customer.

Rakesh: Would it not be more precise regarding to current sharing ratio (real 50/50) between two circuit if the two IMON Pins would be tied together and connected to one resistor in this case to value of 16,9k/2

Hi Christopher,

As per the current limit architecture of TPS25942A device, connecting ILIM pins together does not help in improving the current sharing performance.
