LM5175-Q1: PMP20774 & PMP9773 Design Modification.

Part Number: LM5175-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PMP20774, PMP9773, TPS61088, LM5175

Dear Sirs:

We planned to provide more options to our customer.
Need your help to review the design below.

1. Based on TI’s reference design “PMP20774,” it looks nothing to modify.
Please help to confirm it works on car battery input and 5V/9V/15V/20V output.

2. Based on TI’s reference design “PMP9773,” TPS61088 will be replaced by LM5175 for car battery input.
Please give some comment about this change to meet our requirement (car battery input and 5V/9V/12V output).

  • The PMP20774 will support the said applications.

The LM5175 can also support your 2nd request. The more convenient way is to scale the power of the PMP20774, rather than replacing the TPS61088 with the LM5175 on PMP9773. Of course you can modify the PMP9773, if you insist.
