WEBENCH® Tools/BQ34Z100-G1: before starting learning cycle after updating all parameters full charge capacity is updated mismatch

Part Number: BQ34Z100-G1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQSTUDIO

Tool/software: WEBENCH® Design Tools

hi every one ,

iam testing battery of type  : lead acid .12v 1.3Ah.

before starting learn cycle , after updating all parameters in bqstudio, full charge capacity is updated to 1200 Mah , but it should be 1300 Mah.

please verify my gg file, what parameter is required to update exact value. i  attached the gg file  and battery datasheet.4353.0207.Amptek_battery_12v_1.3Ah_datasheet.pdftest_gg_file_7_may_18.gg__chg.rar

  • Hi Manoj,
Here is a optimization cycle process that should work for your PbA cells.

Configure the dataflash with appropriate parameters suitable for your application; configure pack's chemistry and perform calibration.
    Activate impedance track.
Charge the pack to charge termination.
Allow the pack to rest until the OCVTAKEN flag sets.
Discharge the pack at a C/8 rate to the Termination Voltage.
Allow the pack to rest until the OCVTAKEN flag sets. Qmax should update and Update Status should increment to 05.
Fully charge the pack to charge termination.
Allow the pack to rest until the OCVTAKEN flag sets.
Discharge the pack at a C/8 rate to the Termination Voltage.
Allow the pack to rest until the OCVTAKEN flag sets. The Ra table should update and Update Status should increment to 06.

    Regards,
    David
  • hi david ,

My problem is .. full charge capacity is 1300 Mah , but it is showing 1199Mah...

  • Hi Manoj,
