BQ25120A: Layout without Via-in-Pad

Part Number: BQ25120A

We're looking to use the BQ25120A in a project but would like to avoid using Via-in-Pad to save on board production costs.

We came up with a layout which sacrifices a few features(TS, INT, and LS/LDO) but should allow us to use the ones we want(VSYS,MR,CD,PG,RESET,I2C control).

Is there any reason not to use the layout below or anything that should be done differently?

  • Carl,

I think it is okay to do so. For TS, you can disable the TS function on SW. i think all the other fucntions are okay.

VINLS is an input to the LDO and should not be shorted to LS/LDO pin and looks like you have it tied to PG.

    regards,
