Hi Team,
The datasheet shows recommended RILIM value is 3.1k~7.8k ohm.
On the other hand, my customer is using 3.0k ohm.
Is it no problem?

Hi Yaita,
A 3.0k ohm resistor will be fine. The valid resistor range is 2.75k < RILIM < 8.4k (Section 8.3.3.1 in the datasheet).

Hi Angelo-san,
Revision history shows the following and "7.3 Recommended Operating Conditions" shows 3.1k~7.8k ohm.
I'm a little confused the valid resistor range of ILIM.
Did you say 2.75k~8.4k ohm is also recommended?

Hi Yaita,
Sorry for the confusion; this parameter was actually revised twice in the datasheet.
The most recent revision states that the recommended RILIM range is 3.1k-7.8k ohm, like you said. A 3.0k ohm resistor is valid and can still be used, but it is slightly outside of this recommended range.
If the goal is to set an input current limit of 500 mA, then an alternative solution is to set EN1 = 1 and EN2 = 0, as shown in Table 1 below. In this case (USB500 mode), the ILIM pin can be left floating, so there would be no RILIM resistor at all.
