I want to use LM20146 for an output of 3.3V,6A. My input is 5V. When I calculate the value of Rc1 (Cc1 as 4.7nf) i got the value as 4.9k. But when i use WEBENCH it shows Rc1 as 15.4k and Cc1 as 4.7nf. Which value should i take?
L=4uH
Cout=100uH
fsw=750khz
Muhammed,
My simulation returned 1 uH instead of 950 nH. I think there is negligible difference. You will probably find 1 uH is much more widely available. I got the same compensation values.
ILp-p = (Vout / Vin) * (Vin - Vout) / (Lout * Fsw)
Muhammed,
for an output current of 6 A, 1.496 A ripple current is 25%. 0.25 is a good value for ripple current factor ( between 0.2 and 0.3). Use 1 uH as advised.
