Does TPS2H160-q1 can bear 4A Peak Current in 100ms ? and the normal current below 1A.

i check datasheet. 150°C Rdson=280mΩ RθJA=40.4°C/W。 thanks a lot ,

Hello,
Is the peak current of 4A repetitive? or is it one pulse at power up? is the load capacitve? There is difference if the device in saturation or linear region. Device may be in temperature shut down if the FET in saturation region and the current is regulating at 4A during 100mS. But if the load is resistive and not current limitation, it should be no problem.

Hello,

I guess the current limit is above 4A for energyzing the relay and the FET is in linear region at power up Vds = Ron x Iout. There is not issue here.
