Hello, I am a graduate student in school, want to use UCC28251 to do a full bridge module power supply, read the manual of the chip, there is a problem is when the light load inductance current interrupted, synchronous rectifier tube is still open, then there will be backflow current into the rectifier tube caused burnout, how is your company consider it in this regard? Thank you!

Hi Shaowei,

In this condition a TVS clamping diode or snubber clamping circuit can be added across the SR to limit the voltage when the current is interrupted.

Hi peter,

I checked some TVS models, one thing I can't evaluate is how much peak power capability is needed, 200W is enough or not? can you provide me some TVS reference models?

Hi

Since you are simulating the circuit the device selection is not critical. You can use the simulator to measure the power dissipation in the device to select the correct part for the actual circuit.
