Identify TI part number

When I repaired the device, I found the damaged circuit in the VQFN-32 (5x5mm) case, which has the designation 98044A1. The TI initials are also listed on the case and therefore I think it is a Texas Instruments circuit. It is clear that this is a Power Management IC (PMIC), which includes DC-DC Step down converters and LDOs. I could not find the circuit type information. Can someone help me with identifying this circuit? This is probably the TPS * PMIC range. Thank you for any suggestions.

  • Patrik,

Unfortunately, that device is not a publicly released part, so we can't provide any information on it. If you would like more information on it you should contact the system manufacturer.

    Thank you,
    Nick
  • Nick,

I was not happy with the information, so the chances of repairing the my device (GPS Garmin) are scarce :-(. Nevertheless, thank you for the information, I will try to get more information from the device manufacturer.

I wish a nice day from the Czech Republic.
