EV2400: EV2400 not recognized

My new EV24400 does not work - it is not recognized by any PC. We have another EV2400 board that works fine on all of the same PCs. This new device is not recognized by Windows - the OS doesn't make a sound and nothing appears under Device Manager on connection. All of the LED's on the EV2400 are lit as expected. We have verified it is not a cable problem using the functioning EV2400.

Do you have any unrecognized devices in the device manager? If yes, then it means Windows hasn't recognized the ev2400. This can happen due to a driver stack issue with Windows (unrelated to TI).
Open the device manager without the ev2400 connected. Once it's open connect the ev2400, if you see a HID device added, then it means that the ev2400 has been recognized. For this, the device manager drop down tree should rescan and close. If that is not seen, then it means that the device is not getting recognized. Right click on the my computer icon in the device manager and scan for new devices. You may have better luck that way. If you still see an unknown device, it may either indicate a hardware or a software issue.

Hi @Batt . Like I mentioned, Windows doesn't indicate anything is connected when I plug the USB cable into the newer EV2400 - no unrecognized devices in Device Manager under Human Interface Devices or elsewhere, no sound/tone, no indication that a USB device has been attached. The older EV2400 works as expected - a 'USB Input Device' shows up once the USB cable is plugged in. The newer unit seems to be DOA other than the LEDs.

Yes, if you are not getting any notification from Windows it implies that the ev2400 is dead.
