TPS63051: Power consumption

I advised core losses on the inductor (and internal mosfet gate) would increase this number, but just curious to know if we would be able to put a figure to the values on our own EVM to compare both modes of operation?

At the moment I do not have a TPS63051 EVM at hand, but I can do a measurement tomorrow on the TPS63050 EVM. Nevertheless, this is only a typical value on a typical unit at room temperature.

I now had a request to obtain the values with FPM enabled on our EVM, are those the ones shown on the datasheet?

The data given in the electrical characteristic are the ones while the IC is not switching, so on the EVM this will be somewhat higher. Please have a look into this app note: Performing accurate PFM Mode efficiency measurements

The switching quiescent current is dependent on the used external components, so we cannot guarantee it with a measurement on the IC alone.

• Is this indicated somewhere in the datasheet, perhaps with guidelines of what components would it be best to use to obtain optimum efficiency?
• Are you able to measure the EVM as before just so I can have a reference point?
