If i want to achieve min output of 36 W then then it is necessary to provide 36 W at input side of a boost IC(100% Efficiency).

Example :

INPUT :

V=4V

I=9A

OUTPUT:

V=12V

I=3A

    Hi Sir,

    When Vin=4V, Po=36W, then the peak inductor current is around =36*1.1/(0.9*4)=11A.  But the peak switch current of TPS61089 is only 8A, so the TPS61089 is not fit. You can choose TPS61088 in this case. the peak switch current of TPS61088 can reach 11A. Make sure the input voltage is higher than 4V, or the TPS61088 also can't support such high output power.
