Hello,
I have a couple of quick questions in regard to TPS2062 device. I'm using only one channel of this device to power a USB 3.0 connector. This device will be located on the I/O board close to the USB 3.0 connector in a SFF chassis. My questions are:
1) The +5V is generated from the main chassis power supply and will be brought into the I/O board area where the device resides. This is a regulated +5V power and so I will apply this to the input voltage pin (pin 2) of the device. I'm a bit concerned that this +5V power will be traveling quite far before it gets to this device. I'm adding the recommended 10uF and .1uF caps on the input side of Vin. Is the device immune to any noise on the input supply?
2) If this is basically a switch and (voltage out = voltage in , current out = current in), is there going to be any kind of voltage or current drop across the switch?
3) The Enable pin (EN1#) will be driven by a processor based on the feedback it gets from OC1# signal. I don't suppose I will need a pull-up on this line if it is being driven by the processor?
Thank you for your help.
