I submitted two battery characteristic files to https://www.ti.com/powercalculator/docs/gpc/gpcUpload.tsp and did not get back a result or even an email saying it failed to find a match.

The gpcCHEM www.ti.com/.../gpcchem seem to apply to the bq34z100-G1 chip and batteries I am using. The instruction tab on the gpcCHEM link is broken and verifying the file format is not possible because of that. I re-parsed the data to see if dividing the voltage across the cells to what one cell would see and I adjusted the parameter for it in the config file. I have double checked the file formats and put text headers into them to see if I could figure out what the tool does not like.

However I get the same result each time. The only email back from the tool I got was in my very first submission when I had an error in the file format. Can you provide some information as to what might be the issue from whatever information the tool provides back when it runs or does not like something?

I have re-characterized the battery I am looking at and resubmitted it to the www.ti.com/.../gpcUpload.tsp tool and it provides no feedback as to what might be the issue? My original first effort did not relax the battery after charging and in re-reading the instructions I fixed that. I also redid the recovery after the battery was discharged to remove all current drain after since the original effort had a small current draw left after the main load was turned off.

7485.LiFe002a.zip 4645.logfile.zipI am attaching the files you requested as ZIP files. The TI tool did not provide any log files or gg.csv file so if you are asking for those I do not have them. I collected the data from a BQ34Z100-G1 installed on a board and output it for logging using a UART of that board, so if the gg.cvs file you are asking about is from the battery suite, that was not used.

Please remove the spaces from your config.txt file so it is formatted like this:

Bryan,

I am still having difficulties with getting any feedback from the tool or successful results. I did find some errors and corrected them relative to the number of batteries in series. I am attaching the latest zip file which includes spaces removed as you suggested and matches the instructions as far as I can tell. Does the tool when it fails to send anything back provide some way to give an indication of what its having an issue with?

I tried the advice and got the same result. I did fix the number of cells in series since that was wrong and have not gotten a response back from the tool ever. The last time I characterized a battery a TI employee had to check the tool and did something to get it to provide a chem match. The battery is a LiFePo4 type battery.

The config.txt looks good now.

I'm also not seeing an obvious issue with the csv file. I will run this internally and provide an update by EOD Monday due to the holiday.

NewLabData.zipBryan, I have not received anything back from the automated tool. I am attaching the file I sent here and it would be really helpful to get it to work. I took the data precisely with Lab meters and automated the test to insure the relaxation times were as specified in the instructions for battery characterization. I do not think the data can be taken more precisely and I wonder if the automated tool is perhaps crashing or not providing a reply due to something stupid like spaces? If you can provide an example zip file that the tool accepts I can compare it to my data package to see what differences if any exists. Your recent reply included trying to by end of business today figuring out how to get the tool to provide an answer.
