BQ76930: Why is there series resistors and capacitors for Rsns for current sensing?

Part Number: BQ76930

Are the resistors(red arrow) and capacitors in the circuitry for Rsns current sensing circuitry for low pass filtering ? Should they be matched or changed for varying Rsns values ?

Are they 100ohm and 0.1uF values accounting for the coulomb counting measurement updates ?

  • Hi Eohan,
Our team is currently enjoying the Thanksgiving break and will come back to you when we return, during the week of November 26th
  • Hi Eohan,

The external filter is used to average the current across the sense resistor during the sample period (sampling occurs every 4 us). The values do not need to change for different Rsns values.

    Best regards,
    Matt
