Hi

For safety certification reason I need to understand if the bq76940 has any software programmed at manufacturing in the "Digital core"  inside the IC? 

Or can I consider it as fixed hw?

    Hi Mats,
    The bq76940 digital logic is fixed logic, it is not programmed with software at manufacturing. I don't know why the term "core" was used in the diagram. There is very limited EEPROM in the device as shown in the diagram to store manufacturing adjustments and configurations such as the output voltage, CRC setting, and gain & offset.
