I'm using the evaluation board connected to an 18V power supply connected to AC, 4S batteries connected w/ BMS to VBAT, Vsys connected to a 12 W load, and a 1.6V power source connected to TS.
Originally, the load would run with either AC or Batteries connected, and with both connected the batteries would charge while the load would run.
Now, although the load runs with either AC or Batteries connected, the batteries no longer charge if both are connected. The STAT 1 light turns on, but no current flows to the batteries.
Tested a few pins with AC no Batteries:
Vcc | 18.01 V |
PG | 0.042 V |
REGN | 5.991 V |
STAT1 | 1.799 V |
STAT2 | 1.747 V |
CHGEN | 3.304 V |
ACDRV | 12.97 V |
BATTDRV | 18.01 V |
On Both AC and Batteries, the only difference is STAT1 = 0.32 V
I haven't made any modifications the the board, but when I was about to attach the battery pack, the leads touched the board and it sparked. Not sure what was in contact, I think it was VBAT.
