Not sure the meaning the load_wakeup. The circuit is mainly used for load removal detection when OCD of SC occur, when load is still attached is show it will give high voltage, if the load removal it will show low. when in the normal condition ( no fault occur) it also show low. And in this design, this signal is provided to MCU for further process.

The circuit has been test in several battery pack voltage showing in the design guide, it workable for various battery voltage.

The components you mentioned are zener diode
