TPS61090: Short circuits at SW pin 3,4 after working

Please confirm that the fault only occurs when touch the R3 or R4, and how many time and rate it occurs? Could you ged the waveform of Pin Vout, SW, FB at the break time?


It should be noticed that human body may carry a high electrostatic voltage and it's harmful for a chip. So please use some ESD protection equipment during the production and test. For the moment, it only happens when we touch those resistances, even when we use antistatic wristbands.
We have burned several integrated detecting that failure, in fact we make sure that the board works for days before performing the test.
I imagine that the finger changes the value of the voltage divider and that is why the fault occurs, but it is the deductions.

I have the same imagine with you. That why I want you test the SW, FB and VOUT. Could you catch the waveform when it occurs to help to find out what happen?

You could set the scope with one signal trigger mode for the Vout between normal and break down. And long observe period may be better.
