Please, could it be estimated/calculated if the LDO TPS79801-Q is able to fulfill the following lifetime requirement?

10 years x 255 days x 13hours = 33150 hours

The application information are as following:

Temperature profile:

-40°C: 10%

23°C: 80%

110°C: 10%

Operating input voltage:

Case 1 – Nominal: 24V

Case 2 – Maximum: 32V

Adjusted output voltage: 7.62V

Current consumption Iout=10.5mA (typ) / 12.6mA(max)

Hi Guilherme,

Could you please confirm the part number? The title lists TPS7A16; however, your post mentions TPS798-Q1.

In addition are the temperatures you list ambient temperatures or junction temperatures?

Dear Ryan,

This is about the Q1 version (automotive AEC-Q100). The complete PN is TPS7A1601QDGNRQ1 (adjustable version), adjusted at 7.62V.

The temperatures listed are ambient temperatures.

Unfortunately the HTOL hours required to cover your mission profile exceeds the industry standard reliability testing for this device. Here is an Excel sheet that shows how this can be calculated using the Arrhenius equation:

Dear Ryan, thank you very much for the answer and the excel table.

Now I am also able to play with parameters (power dissipation, temperature profile, etc) and check what could be done to achieve the required hours.
